The duty of this Department is to help realization the Engineering and Consulting Projects of the Group. These duties allow the Executive Department to play a Key Role in the success of the Projects and the advancement of the Company’s goals.
The Ray Ab Consulting Engineers Company is among the first companies established in the 1980s in Iran to provide engineering services to the subsidiaries of the Ministry of Energy in the country’s water industry. Initially, the activities of these companies were primarily limited to the province in which they were established; thus, the naming of these companies generally stemmed from historical or geographical names of the respective provinces.
Following this approach to company naming, this company, which was established on March 14, 1984, in Tehran Province and the city of Tehran, takes its name from the ancient civilization of Ray and its famous spring, known as Cheshmeh Soron, which later became known as Cheshmeh Ali. The civilization of Ray is one of the oldest historical civilizations in the country, dating back to the Aryan period. Today, Shahr-e Ray is located in the south of Tehran, and one can observe the remnants of various historical periods there.
Describing the historical civilization of Ray (also known as Raga), Dr. Hossein Karimi writes in his book Ancient Ray:
“The history of the establishment of Ray, or Raga, one of the oldest cities in the world, traces back to the time of the Aryan tribes.” Ray, or Raga, is a historic city of Iran. The ancient center of Ray was at the foot of a rock known as Cheshmeh Ali, which was the source of the Suron River. In this region, excavations by archaeologists such as Dr. Schmidt have revealed a long-standing civilization. The well-known culture of Cheshmeh Ali emerged in the late Neolithic era in the Central Plateau and was able to extend beyond this region, reaching as far south as present-day Turkmenistan. The transfer of this civilization occurred between 5300 and 4300 BC.
